PAPAKURA'S NEW GREEN.
Over 200 visitors attended the opening of Papakura'S new bowling green in the centre of the town. Among the visitors were Messrs. A. Selby (the veteran nlerk of the racing course), IS. D.-McLennnu, ex M.P. for the district, A. Willis and W. Richardson, the latter three representing the pioneers of the district. The president, Mr. S. D. Ri;*e, welcomed the visitors, and Messrs. H. E. McEnte,->, W. Dawson and E. D. McLennan also spoke. Results of games played :—Fulton, Greenaway, Kirton, Rice 14, v. Martin, Willis, Mitchell, I Dowson 5 : MeCallum. Menzies, Hunt, Hcrdwick 20, v.
