SOUTH AUCKLAND SPLIT. BAY OF PLENTY CENTRE. HEADQUARTERS AT ROTORUA. {By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. The annual general meeting of the South Auckland Centre of the New /eaian J Amateur Swimming Association was ne at Cambridge on Saturday, when there wxj a large attendance of delegates from ■ over the Waikato. The president. Mr. Clayton-Greene, was in the cliair. It was proposed by the joint Hamilton clubs that the South Auckland Swiminm„ Centre should split up, and bo replaced w two separate centres. The meeting y*'' sl unanimously in favour of such aa action, but the Rotorua delegates expressed tneir desire to form a Bay of Plenty centre. The delegates decided to split the existing centre, and replace it with two separa e bodies. The western clubs will form the South Auckland centre, while those east ot Matamata will join the new Bay of P.ent\ centre. Rotorua will be the headquarters of the Bay of Plenty body, and Cambridge will be the centre of the South Auckland group. Several remits were received from various clubs requesting a complete overhaul of the handicapping system; these being held over until the first executive meeting. Officers elected: Patron, Mr. W. Wilkinson; president, Mr. L. I. Day: vicepresidents, presidents of affiliated clubs; secretary and treasurer. Mr. E. S. Entwistle; lion, auditor, Mr. A. RBatchelor; local officer, Mr. R. S. Entwistle; delegate to New Zealand Council Mr. C. Collins (Christchurch) ; emerpencv committee, Messrs. R. S. Entwiitle, L. JDay and E. Grocott.
