The 11th annual meeting of the Tamakl Ijjclit Club, was held in tlie clubhouse, jtjKsy oil, Point, on Wednesday evening, Mr. W.. -A. •.Wilkinson presiding over a good attendance,of members, including a numberof ladles. •An npology-wus received from the patron, Mr. f Ernest Davis; who wished • the* club another successful year. * .Mi'-jWilkinson, ..when reviewing the events ■of thji.ycar, said that live days were devoted to Jiax-bour racing, including tlie club's regatta, which had to be postponed from its .original date of February 1 owing to the cyclonic gflle which did much damage to-the sea wall at the clubhouse. By, the courtesy of the Victoria Club the regatta .was held in conjunction with their races for both' clubs' benefit. Thanks to the efforts niade to get the Sanders Cup contest held on the Waitemata, and the good work of the ladies' committee, who entertained the crews'of tlie four provincial boats during their visit, the contest • was a great success, the- Canterbury boaft Avenger, .winning by a small margin a display of exoelliWt team work by;/hW--erew. It was pleasing to know that rit'Jeast; one new boat had been built with a view to, trying to regain the cup at Xyttelton next February . The; club was well 'represented in all'of the inter-club events during the yjear. •Mr. 'Wilkinson concluded ' by; thanking the officers and committee for their co-operation and support.
