HERNE BAY SAILING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The fourth annunl meeting of the Heme Bay Sailing Club was held last evening In the club room, 07, Sarstield Street, POll- - Mr. Geo. Dennes presiding over an attendance of 40 members. Reviewing the past. season, Mr. Dennes said that since the club's formation lour years ago lie appreciated the support and encouragement given to members by their many friends alul by the yacht clubs of Auckland. By looking after the younger members they were training them for membership in the senior clubs. Mr. Dennis referred to Mr. J. Xi. Savory, of San Francisco, who sent a letter wishing the club a successful season, and mentioned that lie expected to be in Auckland about December 20, and would try aiid see tlie Silver Fern boats racing. Mr; Denned said that the' keen interest taken in the club by residents of Pousoriby and the buys augured well for its future. , The balance'-slieet submitted by- Master N." Shaw' showed receipts totalling 44, tire expenditure leaving a credit baiancc of £8 7/11. Assets were valued at £17, with no liabilities. The following officers were elected for the coming season. Tlje boats of . the Silver Fern class are,; Silver- Fern, Mary T., Valerie, Flying Clotid, Kandy Kid, and; Endeavour. They were designed by Mr. Arch Logan, and are on the lines of the M class, with Bermudan rig, and cost about £40 complete.
