FORELEG FRACTURED. WORKOUTS AT TAKANINI. At Takanini tliis morning all the fast work was carried out on the middle grass, which was inclined to cut out slightly. Proceedings were marred by an accident to Queen Nona. She was given strong work over a round, and 50yds from the finishing post she faltered and was pulled up, her off foreleg having been fractured at the fetlock joint. Rothoon, with Precise to bring him home over the final three furlongs, covered half a mile in 545. He beat his companion by a couple of lengths.
