THE MANAGER'S OPINIONS. " SHOULD HAVE WON' FIRST TEST." (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Upon its-return from New Zealand, Mr. Shaw, manager of the Australian Rugby Union team, said New Zealanders had treated the team handsomely. Tie results of the tour were disappointing, but the team had been greatly handicapped through injuries and illness. Mr. Shaw added : "I really believe we should have won the first Test, and New Zealand papers agreed. There were cases of illegal Interference at vital moments that meant much to us."
