SOCCER REP. GAMES.
THREE MATCHES PLAYED. AUCKLAND V. WELLINGTON. LOCAL ASSOCIATIOX GAIXS RUBBER It is seldom that three representative games between two associations have been played on the same day in the same city as was the case on Saturday, v.hen teams representing secondary school boys under 16, players under 21 and seniors of Wellington and Auckland opposed each other. The games resulted in victory for Auckland in the school boys' match by one goal to nil, also in the reps, under 21 by three goals to two, while Wellington won the senior game by three goals to _ one. The senior match was for the Frank Campbell Rose Bowl and the under 21 contest for the Flyger Rose Bowl, the latter being retained in Auckland. The senior match was a rather disappointing affair from'the point of view of the standard of play, and the home side failed miserably in front of goal, where chances innumerable were thrown away. There was no team work or combination, and altogether the selection proved unfortunate.
