Australian and Japanese Trade
Parleys. ANNOUNCEMENT EXPECTED. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A report was received from Canberra last night that trade negotiations between Sir Henry Gullett and Dr. Murai, Japanese Consul-General, had reached a stage where a basis of settlement is likely to be announced any moment, details of which have already been cabled to Tokyo for approval.
