MOTOR CYCLE NOTES.

MEETING AT MURIWAI,
In spite of the unsettled weather conditions on .Sunday, 32 members of the Auckland Motor Cycle Club took part in the whitewash trial, which proved to be so popular, that the club has decided to put on more of these events during the coming year. The trail laid by the \ icecaptain Les. McLaren was not easy, and consequently many riders got coinpletely lost. They proceeded 0 direct to Sharp s Bush, where a very delightful lunch was had at the farmhouse. After lunch several events were held on the farm and competition was particularly keen, the fields being so large that some events had to be run in four heats. 'I he results were as follow: —

Run to Machine, Mount and Ride Back. —W. Cronk (Velocette) 1, C. Brindle (Xew Imperial) 2, J. Phillips (J.A.P.) 3.

Lodge (Velocette) 3. Ixion Trial. The next activity of the club will be the [xion Trial, to take place Sunday week. September 13. This is a trial in which every member can take part at little expense, and a good field is therefore expected. Riders who are interested in beach racing will have an opportunity to try themselves out this month, as the club intends to hold a meeting at Muriwai on September 27. T The club hopes to conduct the Xew Zealand beach championship again this year, and riders would be well advised to get in trim, as the meeting will be earlier than usual and riders from all over New Zealand will be taking part. Four riders from the South have already signified their intention of starting.' The montlilv meeting of the A.M.C.C. will be held to-night, when the presentation of trophies won in the Pascoe Cup trial and the club trial wjll be made.
