The trail laid by the \ icecaptain Les. McLaren was not easy, and consequently many riders got coinpletely lost. This is a trial in which every member can take part at little expense, and a good field is therefore expected. Riders who are interested in beach racing will have an opportunity to try themselves out this month, as the club intends to hold a meeting at Muriwai on September 27. T The club hopes to conduct the Xew Zealand beach championship again this year, and riders would be well advised to get in trim, as the meeting will be earlier than usual and riders from all over New Zealand will be taking part. Four riders from the South have already signified their intention of starting.' The montlilv meeting of the A.M.C.C. will be held to-night, when the presentation of trophies won in the Pascoe Cup trial and the club trial wjll be made.
