AUSTRALIAN CONTEST.
PARRAMATTA TO BATHURST,
SYDNEY, August 30. The annual bicycle road races from Parramatta to Bathurst over the Blue Mountains were held yesterday. Scventjseven competitors started. The amateur race was won bj B. ireuic off ''7 30. and his riding tune was oh odm 48s. The fastest time, which was recorded by F. Nelson, was 5h 34m o2s. In the professional race the Victorian rider V. Thomas, off scratch, narrowly won from the South Australian scratch man, W. Moritz. The time was 5h 23m Lus.
