CHANGING LONDON.

MANY NEW CHURCHES. POST-WAR DEVELOPMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The changing industrial conditions, the expansion of London and the tremendous inilux of people are influences having a marked effect on church life in the city, said the Venerable Archdeacon E. M. Sharp, Archdeacon of London, and Canon of St. Paul's, who arrived by the Rangitane to-day. He said there had been an influx of about 450,000 people into London in. the last 10 to 12 years, and it had been found necessary to build 40 new churches. The Church had never been more full of active spiritual life and its activities had tremendously increased.
