MOUNT ALBERT DOMAIN.
The Mount Albert Borough Council employees are at present removing a large amount of soil from the Domain, and it would be /a great pity if this soil were wasted or sold to some private individual. In my opinion it should be used in beautifying the Domain itself, particularly in the old crater. A thin covering of soil "over the whole bed of the crater would be sufficient to keep a good growth of grass throughout the year. As it is now, there is quite a fair covering of grass in winter and spring, but as soon as the. hot weather comes the grass withers through " lack of genuine soil. I trust that the Borough Council will favourably consider my suggestion. " RESIDEXT.°
