RATS PILFER OPIUM.
ISTANBUL. The Istanbul Customs Administration woke up one morning to find 150 satchels of opium and hasheesh gnawed through and all but entirely eaten. Suspecting rats, they appropriated 80 cents a day to feed cats in the hope that the rodent addicts would be brought to- justice.
