SPILT INK CLUB.
The August meeting of tlie Spilt Ink Club was held at the home of Mrs. Margaret Saunders, 34, St. George's Bay Road, Parnell, on Saturday. The meeting took the form of an original afternoon, the members reading their own compositions. Mrs. Una Craig read two poems, "Sylvan Eyme" and "The Telegram"; Mrs. Doust, two poems, "Short Stories" and "Unsung"; Mre. Hurst, an article on "Auckland's Fairy Springs"; Mrs. Fisher, a short story, "The Golden Sovereign"; Miss R. M. Hoggard (hon. secretary), a short story, "Going Back"; Mrs. Colegrave, an article on "Women in Politics." General discussion followed and numerous topics were discussed.
