"MEADOW TO MARKET."
MEAT INDUSTRY TALKIE FILM A short, talkie film, entitled "Meadow to Market," describing the meat industry in the Dominion, has been prepared in New Zealand under the direction of the Meat Producers'. Board for use in its publicity campaigns in the overseas market. The more prosaic details ofthe industry have been avoided, and an original approach to the story is, a glimpse of the "pre-meat era" in New Zealand, when the Maori did not have the advantage of first-class domestic stock oil which to draw for his food supply. The first refrigerated ship is pictured, and. with a wealth of good scenery as the constant background.
Care has been taken to present an abundance of action and every branch of the industry is fully and interestingly •dealt with. Explanations are clearly given and the film should be a- feature of the exhibition which is to be arranged towards the close of each publicity drive in the large centres of population in the United Kingdom. . -
