LABOUR FOR FARMS.
DEMAND STILL ACUTE POSITION IN WAIKATO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. There is no lessening j n the acute demand for farm labour in the Waikato, but it is expected that the position will improve now that the wage iiates for farm labour have been announced. The belief that farm I labourers are going 011 to public works 7'® discounted by the local placement i officers. The inquiry for boys for the 'engineering trade is also most marked.
