WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:—
Moderate to fresh south-westerly winds, decreasing and veering later to westerly. Weather cool and changeable, with scattered showers, but improving. Seas slight to moderate.
The last of the recent series of westerly depressions is passing eastwards off the Dominion and an anticyclone is approaching from the Tasman Sea.
Dominion Forecast. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day.— The indications are for moderate to fresh south-westerlies. Weather probably cool and changeable, with scattered passing showers, but improving. Barometer rising slowly. Seas smooth to moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conf 1 lon ® l n . . ? Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, west-south-west, fresh; sea, moderate; weather, cloudy with occasional showers; visibility, fair: barometer, falling.
