Corriedales Beat Merinos at Stud Sales. SOUTHDOWN UNPOPULAR. (Received 9.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Corriedales again surpassed Merinos at the concluding stud sheep sales "yesterday for the highest price and highest average. A two-vear special Corriedale stud ram brought 170 guineas, while the highest-priced Merino was 140 guineas.
Rakaia Soutlidowns were unsold and little interest was shown in the breed. A champion Ryeland ewe brought 80 guineas.
