GALLIO'S GOOD FOUR. (By Telegraph.-' Special to "'Star.") TE AWAMUTU, this day. The flags were out about 30ft on the course proper this morning for fast work, but the going was heavy. The inner grass and hurdle grass track were used for paeework. Jonathan, who was sent four furlongs, was not timed, but was working along nicely. Gallio was responsible for a pleasing effort by coming home from the halfmile post in 52 4-ss. Tonnerre and Cyllaros were sent four furl-sings, finishing together in 55%5. Tonnerre worked well, but was making .a lot of noise. Tuaheake finished ahead of Quadroon at the end of six furlongs in 1.33. Botli could have done much better. Iliuminagh, who had a good start, had a slight advantage over Delrain at the conclusion of seven furlongs in 1.37. Lady Voyonne was not after time while running home from the five-furlong post in 1.15. Glenation was allotted three furlongs, which took him 40 l-ss. The Captain Bunsby—Prophets Mark filly and the imported Lady Meatli were responsible for a' pleasing two furlongs done in 2G 1-s=;. British Nation (British Empire—Archquil) completed a similar task in 28s, Besiege taking 31s.
