UNIVERSITY POSITION.
Though it was impossible to make a detailed comment in the absence of fuller knowledge, Mr. M. P.. O'Shea, registrar of the Auckland University College, said this morning in reference to the increase to the college provided for in the Budget proposals, that it appeared that the position of the college's finances would not be improved. The apparent increase appeared to be just enough to enable the college to restore the cut in wages.
