PLUNKET GRANTS.
Mrs. J. C. Allan, president of the Auckland branch of tlie Plunket Society, said that tliey were very gratified at the restoration of Plunket grants to the former level. Tlie money would be of great help, especially in the Truby King lvaritane Hospital work. The public had always treated the society very generously, but owing to lack o-f funds the activities of the society had to be curtailed. Various centres had been calling out for Plunket nurses and although large numbers of cases had to be dealt with nurses were not able to be supplied. Now, with the restoration of the grants, the work couhl be expanded.
