TRANSPORT CONTROL.
AUTHORITY'S TOUR RESUMED. Mr. E. J. Plielan, licensing authority for the No. 1 district, will leave Auckland to-morrow to resume the tour of the East Coast districts, which he was forced to abandon recently owing to the death of his wife. Mr. Plielan, who will be accompanied by Mr. R. H. Nicliolls, of the Transport Department, will be absent from Auckland for eight days, during which time he will interview local body officials and representatives of transport interests at Hamilton, Rotorua, Opotiki, Gisborne, Wairoa, Taupo, Te lvuiti and Te Awamutu. He will also visit the Chateau Tongariro, where he will take the opportunity of conferring with Mr. J. P. O. Skoglund, licensing authority for the No. 2 district, who is also making a tour to make himself familiar with his district and officials in it.
