POLICE AND SCHOOL
It was with a deep sense of indignation I read an account of -a police oflieial v : iting one of our country' schools in uniform and obtaining a statement from a child, without being in the presence of a tcacher or the headmaster. The police should be aware of the regulations covering a case like this, whereby it is against the rules of the Education Board for a police oflieial to visit the schools in uniform. This alone has a bad psychological effect upon a child, and its effect is not merely with the child individually, but upon the school collectively. PARENT.
