NO RESIDENT CONSTABLE.
At a meeting of the Ellerslie Town Board, complaints regarding the delay in appointing a resident constable were voiced. Two months had elapsed, it was stated, since the resident officer had been transferred, and the temporary officer in charge did not reside in the district. There was no protection at night, and cyclists were using the footpaths and riding without lights at nightfall. It was decided to make' representations to the Police Department. . , t
