PAPAKURA AFFILIATES. - PUKEKOHE, Wednesday. ' A suggestion that the name of the Northern AVaikato Bowling Association should be changed to "Franklin Bowling Association" was ■ made by the retiring president, Mr. AV. A. Smeed,. at the 12th annual meeting held- at Pukefcolie... to-day. The suggestion was approved and it Avas decided to ask the Auckland Centre for Its consent to the change. Officers elected: —Patron, Mr. G. 11. Armstrong; president, Mr. C. "Atchison; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. Fulton and H. B. Armitage; secretary, Mr. E. G. Moncrief ; auditor, Mr. F. H. Hewitt. Messrs. Atchison, D. Jamieson and \A r . E. Johns were appointed a con>Tiittee to arrange the dates for the annual competitions for champion pairs, B pairs, championship singles and first-year singles. , It was agreed that the /' association's annual full-rin'k tournament be.lield again on Labour Day. A suggestion that the match between players over 55 years and players under that age be held at Clevedon in the coming season was left to the committee. Reafflliation of the Papakura Club was granted. The other clubs in the association are Clevedon, Patumahoe, AVaiuku. Pukekolie, Buckland and Tuakau.

N.Z. GAMES IN QUEENSLAND,

BRISBANE, August 5. The New Zealand bowlers, who are at present touring Queensland,, played the combined Maryborough clubs on Sunday.. Harrison and three Victorians lost by 14 to 25, Parker's rink won by 25 to 13 and three Victorians and Bockett lost by 1C to 22. The team played 'against the Isis Club on Tuesday. Parker's rink won by 28 to 21, the Victorian players and Bockett lost by 23 to 29 and Harrison and the Victorian placers lost by 23 to 27.

In the final of a full-rink tournament played on the Epsom Bowling Club's green Itolfe. Paterson, Bull. O'Callaghan (Epsom) beat Mayson, Garland, Dougan, Scott (Grey Lynn) by l(i points-to. 15.
