OTAGO OLD BOYS.
AU CKIiAND CELEBRATION. Some 60 old boys of the Otago Boys High School celebrated the 73rd anniver sary of the foundation of the school wliei the Auckland branch of the Old Boys Association held a dinner on Monday evening. Sir Alexander Herdman was in the chair. A motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Dr. P. A. Lindsay, who was dux of the school in 1878 and 1879 and an enthusiastic old boy. Officers were elected for the ensuing year as follows:—President, Mr. Gillies Borne; vice-presidents, Sir i-Alexander Herdman, Messrs. W. A. Fairclough, F. S. Townle.v-Little, M. R. O'Sea, W. Hislop, J. W. Shaw, Kenneth Mackenzie, Dr. C. H. Tewsley, Mr. E, C. Cutten; committee, Dr. J. Hardie Neil, Dr. J. A. I'aterson, Dr. E. P. Neale, Messrs. A. V. Fraer, W. 11. Ackroyd, C. M. Littlejohn, A. D. Barber, 11. Ross. C. R. Lane; lion, secretary, Mr. D. W. Faigan.
During the evening the following toasts were honoured:—"The King"; "The School," proposed by Mr. G. G. Grant, and acknowledged by' Dr. E. P'. Neale; "Kindred Schools," proposed by Mr. M. R. O'Shea, and acknowledged by Professor R. M. Algie; and "Absent.Old Boys," proposed by Mr. Kenneth Mackenzie. ,
