STEAMER TURNS BACK.
MEMBER OF CREW HURT. The American styamer Golden Coast, which left Auckland for .Wellington at 11 a.m. to-day, turned back early this afternoon to land a member of her crew who had accidentally severed a finger. As the result of a S.O.S. message a launch will meet the steamer and a St. John ambulance will be waiting at the wharf to take the man to the Auckland Hospital.
