CABINET COMMENDED.
LABOUR ORGAN'S OPINION.
(Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, August 4
The "Daily Herald" (Labour) says that only the prejudiced will deny that Mr. Savage and his colleagues have given New Zealand full value for their money. Their social and economic legislation represents a solid gain. Not the least of their servces has been the rescue of the Dominion from the moral stagnation of over twenty years of undistinguished Conservative rule.
The secret of the Government's success lies in the collective competence of Cabinet, which knows what it wants and how to get it. Its record is one in which all Socialists, indeed all democrats, can take a lively pride.
