BUTTER REDUCED.

PRICES IN AUCKLAND.

DOWN liD PER POUND WHOLESALE The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., announced to-day that it will reduce the wholesale prices for butter by lid per lb from to-morrow morning. The new rates will be: Finest, 1/2J per lb; first grade, 1/2; second grade, 1/1 J. The prices are subject to a cash discount of kl per lb.

Local merchants anticipated that there would be a reduction following the guaranteed price announcement. The wholesale price for butter was reduced last week by id a lb.
