THE SPRINGBOKS.
AUSTRALIA SEEKS 3 TESTS. (Received 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The New South Wales Rugby Union, on behalf of all the Australian unions, is pressing for three Test matches between Australia and the Springboks next season. Mr. Gordon Shaw, manager of the team for New Zealand, will discuss the matter with the New Zealand Union. The "Daily Telegraph" states that the Springboks said they would like a limitation on the number of Tests. It is understood that New Zealand desires four, but if playing three here, four more in New Zealand is too much to request the South Africans to undertake.
