Approximate production expenditure, foO. The severe frosts diminished the water supply, so that most of the time was devoted to tunnel work and the necessary preparations for installing gold-saving devices at Golden Gully. The tunnel, which was reopened early in July, required a considerable amount of additional excavating work, so as to assure its safety from blockages in the future. Work on this job is still in progress. A considerable a.mount of snow lias fallen, and as soon as the thaw sets in an ample water supply can be anticipated, which will permit gold production in Duffers Gully and Golden Gully simultaneously. The extension money (£121) for the month of August in j connection with the option t<j London has | been received. ,
