ONEHUNGA CHURCH.
PRESBYTERIAN ACTIVITY. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The Rev. L. McMaster presided at tlie annual meeting of the Oneliunga Presbyterian Church. According to the session report the communicant membership was 220 and the average membership at regular services was 143. Morning attendances had been particularly well maintained, those at the Scott Presbyterian Church and at One Tree Hill had increased and services were now to bo held weekly, morning and evening alternately. A spirited committee was working for the enlargement of the bui'ding. Services were still held fortnightly at Te Papapa. The activities of four Sunday schools, with a total roll of 300. six Bible classes two hives of Busy Bees, the Presbyterian Women's Branch, the choir and the men's societies were also mentioned, every organisation being in a flourishing condition. The report also paid a tribute to the work of Miss C. Berryman, who recently retired after many years' service as organist. Her place had been taken by Mr. J. C. Pascoe. Although the total receipts in the general fund, including the jubilee offerings, had been considerably more than last year, the expenditure had also increased and amounted to £000 for the year. Gifts to missions and other interests outside the church had been £120.
Messrs. R. McGowan and R. A. Ramsay, .retiring -managers, were re-elected and Messrs. S. D. Barr, J. S. Chalmers and J. T. Stewart were appointed to \acaneies on the board. The representatives on the Council of Christian Congregations were reappointed. Mr. J. Park, for the twenty-eighth year, and Mr. N. A. Whyte, for the twentieth year, were again elected honorary auditors' At the conclusion of the annual meetino a special congregational meetino- W as held. °
