HOW TO WIN TRADE.
"SEND EXECUTIVES."
MR. GOLDBERG'S ADVICE TO ENGLAND. (Special.—By Air Mail.) LONDON, July 11. Mr. Frank Gold, berg, the Sydney advertising magnate, is in London on his seventh trip round the world. This is what he told an interviewer when he arrived: "I find London more ,stolid, contented and more unchanged than any other part of the world. "Everybody aeems to be carrying on peacefully, much on the same lines as they were when I was here 25 years ago. The most remarkable thing about England is her lack of change. To come to England from abroad is to step back 25 years. You people have kept a measure of certainty and security no longer to be found elsewhere. I believe that this factor has played no small part in helping England to retain her balance and sense of proportion in a world gono crazy. "One word of advice to your firms who send representatives to Australia and New Zealand. They should send executives with the power to make decisions on the spot. A lot of trade is lost through sending young men who have to cable home for authority."
