MR. HENRY TAYLOR.
The death has occurred of Mr. Henry Taylor, Clay burn Road, Glen Eden. He was a native of Lancashire, England. As a young man he was at the battle of Omdurman and was also in the Boer War. He left New Zealand with the Main Body and saw service in Egypt and on the Western Front. The interment took place at the Waikumete Soldiers' Cemetery, the military service being conducted by Padre Cable. A parade of members of the Western Suburbs Returned Soldiers' Association was held, who placed wreaths and emblems of poppies on the grave.
