WINTRY MONTH.
FROSTS AND FOG IN JULY,
The weather for July was marked by considerable rain, 24 days out of the 31 being wet. The maximum fall was on July 18, with 1.67 inches, and the total for the .month was 5.09 inches.
In July last year there was a fall of 10.55 inches. There was a total of 127 hours 6 minutes of sunshine, while tlia lowest temperature of 2G degrees was recorded on July 11. There were frosts in the city on four days and frosts in the suburbs on four additional days. On five mornings in the month there were thick fogs. Throughout the mouth there were moderate winds, principally from the south-west, and of gale force on one day.
