STAND-UP FIGHT.
LOCAL BODY DISPUTE. » ( CONTESTANTS USE FISTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The serenity of a local body office, some miles from Wellington, was disturbed by a scene between the Mayor of a suburban borough and the chairman of one of the council's committees. The dispute which arose led to a stand-up fight. Both the contestants used their fists to the best of their ability. The council officer did his best to separate them, but it was some time before the fight was stopped.
