SOCIAL CLUB EVENING.
Considerable merriment was in evidence at the New Zealand Institute for the Blind this week, when the focial club, which has now been in existence for a little more than three years, experimented with the holding of a hard-up dance. Between dances a mock court was in progress and much amusement was occasioned by those brought before it. A prize was awarded to the best lady and gentleman, the winners being Mrs. C. Laurent and Mr. L. Salt. Mrs. D. McPliee and her daughter, Miss Audrey McPhee, acted as judges. The committee responsible for the arrangements were:—Miss A. Harland (vice-president), Mr. G. Donn (vicepresident), Miss J. Cralnp, Messrs.- J. Egan, S. Lambert, F. "Robinson, H. Beaton and G. Ashdowne (secretary).
