Professor Ann G. Strong, of the University of Otago, has lately received from the Carnegie Corporation of New York a bronze medal, designed by Paul Manship, in recognition of her constant interest and help m the corporation's work. She has also received advice from the chairman of the membership committee of the American Dietetic Association that it has found her training and experience such as to qualify her for active membership in the association, and she has accordingly been enrolled as a member. This association is so exclusive that membership of it is regarded as a mark of distinction.
