Dallemagne (holder) beat Henry Cotton in the final of the French open golf championship. ... „„ They had tied on Wednesday with 2i < for the four rounds, and in the replay today over 36 holes. Dallemagne won by 139 to 140. Cotton just missed a ten-yard -putt at the last hole for another tie. SYDNEY WOMAN'S RECORD. SYDNEY, July 2. j Plaving In the first qualifying round of, the New South Wales' women's golf champiopship to-day, Mrs. R. A. Clements broke, the course record at the Royal Sydney links. She returned a score ,of 74, which is one under the scratch score for the course.
