CRAMM PRAISED.
WIMBLEDON FINALIST. TWO MONTHS' HARD PLAY. ZEAL SUPERIOR TO TILDEN. LONDON, July 2. Mr. Wallis Myers, writing in the "Daily Telegraph," pays a tribute to von Cramm for his disciplined training and philosophic temperament which is unspoiled by ardour and resembles that of Anthony llding. ( Yon Cramm participated in six weeks intensive match-play without complaining that lie was tired, and within two months he played in four Davis Cup matches, won the French title and reached the Wimbledon final (as he did in 1935, when Perry beat him in straight sets). Even Tilden in his palmiest days did not answer the call -of the. court so zealously.
