ENGLISH PRESBYTERIANS
The general assembly of the Presbyterian Church of England commemorated, at its meetings in Manchester last month, the centenary of its formation as a synod. It was in Manchester, in May, IS3O. that the formation took place. It "Was 40 years later, when it united -with the churches in England, of the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland, that it became the Presbyterian Church of England.
