BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Mrs. Knight, of Westmere, had a very happy reunion with her family at a luncheon given by her son Norman in honour of her eighty •fifth birthday. The tables at the Farmers' Trading Company's tearoom, where the function was held, were attractively decorated with gold and henna* Iceland poppies, the birthday cake being decorated with 85 coloured candles. The usual toasts were drunk, and the guest of honour received many useful and handsome gifts.
