OLDEST WAR SOLDIER.
AUSTRALIAN VETERAN DEAD (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The death has occurred of Mr. Richarc Watkins, aged 82. He saw active servicc during the Great War and was, it was claimed, the oldest member of the A.I.F He enlisted in 1915 at the age of 61 his statement that he was 44 nevei being questioned.
