OUR CLUB SYSTEM.
HOW ARE POINTS AWARDED?
The club system which is now firmly established in connection with our 1930 campaign, is proving one of th«S most popular features yet introduced to the Budget pages. To date 58 clubs have been registered, and all of these are working hard for the success of the camI I'aign. Soon there will be great competition and rivalry among the various clubs for first place on the Sunshine ladder. Under the rules of the 1930 campaign Sunbeams work, not for themselves, but for their clubs. All gifts received from the members of any of these Sunshine clubs are credited to their own particular clubs and points are awarded for them. At the end of the campaign a full day picnic as Wendy's guests will be the reward of the club that tops the ladder. Points are awarded as follows:— Knitted patch 1 point. 3d for lining fund .. 1 point. Tweed or material sample patches .. i point.
Completed quilts, linings, gifts of clothes, shoes, etc., receive points according to merit. Likewise clubs coming to the "Star" Office on Saturday mornings are awarded a number of points according to the amount of work they have done. If you wish to form a club of your own, get a few of your school friends to join you, decide on a name, when and where you shall meet, who your captain will be, etc., and then pasttlie*particulars to Wendy, "Star" Office, Shortland Street, Auckland, who will register your club at Sunbeam headquarters. The object of all Sunshine clubs is to work hard for the success of our campaign and the happiness of little folk who are poor. I
