In 1013 30,000 calves were slaughtered at the Vienna abattoir; in 1935 only 10,000.

There is comparatively little change in the consumption of vegetables. A great increase, however, is noticeable in the consumption of egg*. In 1914 40.0 million egg.* were consumed in Vienna; in J935 this increased to 02.0 million*. Of these 55 million came from Austrian producers.
