ELECTION OF OFFICERS. ' Composed of former Canterbury resi- ' dents now living in Auckland, the recently ; formed Canterbury Club held a well- ' attended meeting in the Y.M.C.A. rooms ! last night. A constitution drawn up by [ the interim committee was adopted. It . was announced that members of the local , Timaru Club, numbering 130, had made known their intention of joining the provincial club. i Officers were elected as follow:—Patron, Sir Walter Stringer; president, Mr. H. Frost: vice-presidents. Archbishop Averill, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., and Mr. J. Hardcastle; secretary, Mr. Minchin Eudd; , treasurer, Mr. W. E. Burle.v; auditor, . Mr. H. Lawry; committee, Rev. R. G. r C'oats, Dr. E. G. Sayevs, Messrs. Xoc 1 : Knight, J. E. Green, F. P. Arnold, T. •jJoll, W. J. Hampton-Reynolds, P. M. »Curnow, C. B. Jones and J. Waddell.
