NOVELLO COMEDY.
AT HIS MAJESTY'S TO-MORROW. To-morrow afternoon and evening at His Majesty's Theatre the new J. C. Williamson comedy company, headed by the two brilliant New Zealand actresses, Ethel Morrison, of Wellington, and Elaine Hamill, of Taihape, will present Ivor Novello's amusing comedy, "Fresh Fields," with which the company achieved a great success in Wellington recently. Miss Mor- ; rison is already well known in Auckland, having delighted playgoers here in a number of successful musical comedy, drama- ' tic and comedy productions. Special interest centres round the first appear- ' ance in Auckland of Miss Elaine Hamill, who, although quite a young girl, is 1 already an accomplished actress. Miss Hamill is gifted with a good stage appearance, being tall, slim and having a charming personality. As Lady Lilian the young Taihape girl has achieved an outstanding triumph. The other artists include Harvey Adams, Campbell Copelin, Katie Towers, Lloyd Lamble, Phyllis Baker, Arthur Lane, Norman Shepherd, Connie Martyn and Enid Holins. The humour of "Fresh Fields" is fast and furious, and it unfolds a very interesting and most entertaining story.
