ON THE AORANGI.
TWO STOWAWAYS CAUGHT. When the Aorangi arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon she carried on board two stowaways, who were being taken on to Sydney. The first, a half-cast Samoan, stowed away on the Cape York on her last trip to Apia and was landed from that vessel at Vancouver. The Aorangi will drop him at Sydney, where arrangements have been made for him to be sent back to Samoa.
The other man lives in Sydney and boarded the Aorangi at that port. He is to be handed over to the authorities there when the Aorangi arrives. Both men were kept under custody while the vessel was in Auckland.
