FOOTBALL MISHAPS
Owing- to a hard ground there were more than the usual number of easualites 011 the Papakura football field 011 Saturday. Two members of the Hunua senior team, L. Robinson and J. Pickard, who were playing in a match against Karaka, were injured and were taken to the Auckland Hospital.' Robinson suffered a fractured shoulder and Pickard a broken collar hone. H. Brookes, of the Drury team, burst a small blood vessel in his leg and had to leave the lield. 111 the League game. City v. Mount Albert, played at Papakura, Halsey twisted his ankie badly and Halliwell, a former South Auckland representative, was knocked unconscious for threequarters of an hour.
