SYDNEY PROGRAMME. CELEBRATIONS IN 1938. The chairman of the British Empire i Games Council, Alderman E. S. Marks, j has released the full programme and 1 j conditions of entry for the games, to be ] held in Sydney from -February 5 to f February 12, • 1938, in association with the celebrations for the 150 th anniversary of Australia. ■ The programme j i will bo sent to Berlin for confirmation i at an Empire Games conference in j August. > ■ Events' composing the official pro- ; gramme are:— • " , i i Athletes, cycling, swimming, boxing, lawn bowling, wrestling and rowing. The maximum, numbers of entries from each nation in each event are:— : Athletics. —Individual events, four < competitors per country; team events, J one team with twice the number in team i as reserves. j Boxing—One competitor per country, with one reserve for each entry. Cycling.—For each event one entry ] per country, with one reserve for each j competitor. j Lawn Bowling. —For each event, one j entry. ] Swimming.—lndividual events, three ; competitors per country, without reserves; team events, one team per country.
